Rost Martin came out of Dallas, Texas swinging with the RM1C, and this HIVIZ variant takes it a step further. The LiteWave H3 front sight combines fiber-optic brightness with a tritium insert, so you get a vivid, fast sight picture in full sun and a glowing aiming point in low light or darkness. It's the kind of upgrade most people bolt on after the fact, and here it comes standard.
The RM1C was built around the idea that you shouldn't have to buy a custom gun to get custom-level features. The 4-inch barrel is hammer-forged with a target crown, not just a basic production barrel. The slide runs a nitrocarburized steel finish for serious corrosion and wear resistance. Controls are fully ambidextrous on both sides, including the slide stop and magazine release, which is a bigger deal than it sounds since most manufacturers offer reversible-only controls that are a pain to swap. The trigger is a flat-face design with a short reset and a clean break right around five pounds, and multiple reviewers who have run thousands of rounds through this gun have come away impressed with how it performs straight from the factory.
The grip uses Rost Martin's proprietary Responsive Grip Texturing, a graduated laser stippling that's grippy without being abrasive. Three modular backstraps let you dial in the fit, and the oversize undercut trigger guard combined with textured index points on the frame give you real control during recoil. The funneled magazine well speeds up reloads, and the extended beavertail keeps your hand high without getting bitten by the slide.
The slide comes pre-cut for an RMR footprint optic and ships with a metal RMR plate installed. Additional plates for other popular optic footprints are available separately. The three-slot Picatinny rail up front handles most popular weapon lights without any adapters. There's also a loaded chamber indicator on top of the slide and a striker-cocked indicator on the rear plate, two small features that matter when you need to verify status in a hurry. The whole package measures 7.1 inches long, 5 inches tall with the flush mag, and 1.1 inches wide through the grip, dimensions that sit right in that Goldilocks zone for carry comfort and shootability. Holster compatibility is broad, with many major makers already producing dedicated fits.

This model ships with the HIVIZ LiteWave H3 front sight, which layers fiber-optic brightness on top of a tritium insert for 24-hour visibility. In daylight, the fiber optic element is brilliant and fast to pick up. When the lights go down, the tritium keeps glowing without any batteries or charging required. HIVIZ backs the tritium with a 12-year warranty against loss of illumination.
The RM1C comes with a metal plate pre-installed for the Trijicon RMR footprint, which also opens up compatibility with a wide range of Holosun optics including the 407C, 507C, 508T, and 509T. Additional plates for Docter, Leupold DPP, and Shield patterns are available separately through Rost Martin. It's a proper metal mounting system, not plastic.
Rost Martin uses what they call Responsive Grip Texturing, or RGT, a proprietary graduated laser stippling applied across the front, back, and sides of the grip. The idea is that the texture responds to your grip pressure, giving you a secure hold without being rough against the hand during extended use. Three interchangeable backstraps are included so you can adjust the grip thickness to fit your hand size.
The RM1C ships with two steel-bodied Mec-Gar magazines, a 15-round flush-fit and a 17-round extended. Rost Martin also confirms that CZ P10 series magazines are compatible and will function in the RM1C. Extra factory RM1C magazines are reasonably priced and easy to find through Rost Martin directly or at major retailers.
Not really. Several major holster makers already produce dedicated fits for the RM1C, including ANR Design, Blackpoint Tactical, CrossBreed, and DeSantis. The RM1C's dimensions are also close enough to the Glock 19 and CZ P10C that many holsters designed for those guns fit it well, giving you a wide selection from day one.
Yes, and results from independent testing have been positive. Guns.com put a production RM1C through 1,500 rounds over 18 months and documented the results. Shooting Illustrated ran 450 rounds through theirs with various ammunition types and reported zero malfunctions. Multiple reviewers noted consistent function with both budget 115-grain range ammo and premium defensive hollow points.
