The heart of this gun is Retay's patented Inertia Plus bolt system. A rollover torsion spring rotates the bolt head fully into battery and keeps it there, which kills the dreaded inertia click that has cost plenty of folks a bird over the years. It also closes quietly and keeps bolt rattle to a minimum. The 3 inch chamber, deep bore drilled barrel, and factory lengthened forcing cone work together to throw noticeably even patterns, and the barrel is threaded for the Benelli Crio Plus choke pattern, so aftermarket choke options are everywhere.
Retay's AIRY recoil pad borrows its design from running shoe soles and trims felt recoil by up to 30 percent, which your shoulder will appreciate by the third box of shells. The trigger group pops out with the push of a button for quick cleaning, the loading port is relieved for easier feeding, and a shim kit lets you dial in cast and drop for a proper fit. A white front bead and steel mid bead keep your eye lined up down the flat rib.

The ACE series uses the Benelli Crio Plus choke pattern, so any choke made for newer Benelli shotguns will screw right in. That gives you a huge aftermarket to pick from. It ships from the factory with a full set of extended chokes including a Skeet tube.
For a dedicated clays gun, most folks find it helps. The porting reduces muzzle jump between shots, which makes it easier to stay on target for true pairs and report pairs. Combined with the 30 inch barrel and weighted mag cap, the gun swings smooth and settles fast.
