The Retay ACE-R is a 28 gauge inertia semi-auto built around Retay's patented Inertia Plus bolt, which uses an internal torsion spring to rotate the bolt fully into lockup and keep it there. That solves the old inertia-gun complaint of a bolt getting bumped out of battery, so you get dependable cycling shell after shell. Wrapped in a full Realtree Legacy camo finish with a 28-inch deep-bore drilled vent rib barrel and a 3-inch chamber, this is a trim, light-swinging gun that feels right at home chasing fast birds through the uplands or sitting in a timber blind.
The R stands for the humpback receiver profile, a nod to classic waterfowl guns that also stretches out the sighting plane down to the single fiber optic front bead. It points fast and settles clean, which is exactly what you want when a covey busts or a dove juke at the last second. Retay also runs their Factory-Lengthened Forcing Cone from the factory, which smooths out the shot column and helps throw even patterns.
