The 5.7x28mm cartridge has always been a bit of an odd duck for suppressor buyers. Rimfire cans usually are not rated for its pressure, and centerfire rifle cans are overkill in size and weight. Gemtech built the Nebula 5.7 to fix that. It is a purpose-built can tuned specifically for the little high-velocity round, and it marks Gemtech's first hybrid design using their 3D-printed additive manufacturing. The result is a titanium core optimized for 5.7 gas flow, backed up by a stainless steel blast baffle up front where the heat and pressure hit hardest. That combination keeps the whole package at 9 ounces while still earning a full-auto rating, even on high-pressure PDW hosts.
At 7.1 inches long and 1.2 inches in diameter, the Nebula 5.7 will not turn your Five-seveN, Ruger-57, or PS90-style build into a boat anchor. Gemtech lists a minimum barrel length of just 3 inches for both 5.7x28mm and .22 LR, so short-barreled PDWs and compact pistols are fair game. And since the core is also rated for .22 LR, .17 HMR, and .22 WMR, this can pulls double duty as a rimfire suppressor when you want to burn through a brick of .22 without the ear ringing.
Every Nebula ships with a removable 1/2×28 direct thread mount, and the can uses the industry-standard HUB pattern with Plan B-style compatibility, so you have plenty of options if you run muzzle devices across multiple hosts. The tube wears a black high-temp Cerakote finish while the mount gets an Armornite treatment, both chosen to shrug off heat and wear over the long haul.
