Gemtech kept weight down without cutting corners. The tube and extension are machined from 7075 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish, and the part that takes the most abuse, the blast baffle, is 17-4 stainless steel. That combination earns the Lunar 9 a full-auto rating in 9mm, so a long range day on a PCC or a suppressed subgun won't faze it. The baffle geometry is designed for plenty of internal volume and turbulence to strip gas velocity, and the internals index consistently so takedown and cleaning don't turn into a puzzle. While 9mm is its bread and butter, the Lunar 9 is also rated for subsonic 300 Blackout, which makes it a natural fit on a quiet AR setup in addition to your threaded pistols. It ships with a 1/2×28 LID pistol assembly, the booster system that keeps tilting-barrel handguns cycling reliably with a can hanging off the muzzle. Yes, it's rated for subsonic 300 Blackout in addition to 9mm, which makes it a solid dual-purpose can for a quiet Blackout build. Keep in mind it is not rated for supersonic 300 BLK loads, so stick to subs on that platform.
