Most over-unders live pampered lives at the sporting clays course. The Cynergy Wicked Wing was built for muddy waders, freezing rain, and the bottom of a duck boat. Browning took the Cynergy's ultra-low-profile receiver and dressed the metalwork in Burnt Bronze Cerakote, wrapped the composite stock and forend in Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Habitat camo, and chrome-lined the bores and chambers so steel shot and salt marsh air don't get the last word. The 3.5 inch chambers handle the full range of waterfowl loads, and they run 2.75 and 3 inch shells just as happily when you don't need the heavy stuff.
The heart of this gun is the MonoLock Hinge, which gives the action far more pivoting surface than traditional trunnion hinges while keeping the receiver profile remarkably low. That low bore axis means less muzzle flip and a gun that swings flat on crossing birds. The Reverse Striker mechanical trigger is another standout. It fires the second barrel regardless of whether the first shell goes off, and the striker-based design delivers a crisp break with fast lock time. Impact ejectors kick spent hulls clear with authority, which you'll appreciate when your hands are half frozen and birds are still working.
Fit matters more on a two-shot gun than anything else you own, and Browning gave this one real adjustability. The adjustable comb lets you dial in your sight picture down the vent rib to the ivory front bead, and the included quarter inch stock spacer fine-tunes length of pull. The long-travel Inflex recoil pad takes real sting out of magnum loads, which matters when you're running 3.5 inch shells at geese.
The 26 inch barrels keep this Wicked Wing quick to the shoulder in a cramped blind or flooded timber, and three extended Invector-Plus choke tubes in Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder cover decoying ducks out to passing shots. Built by Miroku in Japan, the same shop behind Browning's break-action guns for decades, this is a workhorse with the fit and finish of something much fancier.
Yes. The chambers are cut for 3.5 inch shells, but they run 2.75 and 3 inch loads without any issues. That flexibility lets you shoot lighter target loads in the off-season and step up to full magnum waterfowl loads when the geese show up.
It is. The bores and chambers are chrome-lined and the gun ships with extended Invector-Plus choke tubes designed to handle steel and other nontoxic shot. Just follow the standard guidance of avoiding steel through the Full choke at maximum constriction with larger shot sizes, as with any shotgun.
Browning uses a Reverse Striker mechanical trigger instead of a traditional hammer-fired inertia system. Because it's mechanical, the second barrel fires even if the first shell fails to go off, which is a real advantage on a hunt. It also delivers a crisp pull with very fast lock time and minimal overtravel.
It's manufactured by Miroku in Japan, the same maker that has produced Browning's break-action shotguns since the 1960s. Miroku-built guns have a long-standing reputation for tight fit, smooth actions, and durability, and this model carries that tradition into a rugged waterfowl package.
