The Cynergy has always been the Browning that does things its own way, and the CX version is the one built to cross over between clays and the field. The heart of it is the MonoLock Hinge, which merges the monobloc and hinge into one piece and gives the action a huge pivot surface compared to traditional trunnion designs. That is what lets Browning shave the receiver down so low, and it is the first thing you notice when you break it open. Low profile means your hands sit closer to the bore line, which translates to a gun that swings flat and points where you look.
Instead of a hammer-fired setup, the Cynergy CX runs Browning's Reverse Striker ignition with a true mechanical trigger. The result is a break that feels crisp with short locktime and minimal overtravel, and the second barrel fires without needing recoil to set it. Impact Ejectors get a boost from a secondary striker spring, so spent hulls clear the chambers with real authority when you are shooting fast pairs.
The 30 inch lightweight profile barrels wear a vented top and side rib with ivory front and mid-bead sights, and they are regulated for a 60/40 point of impact, a practical middle ground for sporting clays, skeet, trap for fun, and upland birds. Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones help keep patterns dense and consistent, and the chrome-plated 3 inch chambers handle everything from light target loads to heavier field ammunition. Three extended Midas Grade Invector-Plus chokes in Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder cover most distances you will encounter.
The silver nitride steel receiver is engraved and pairs nicely with the satin-finished Grade I black walnut stock, cut checkering, and gold-plated trigger. An Inflex recoil pad takes the sting out of long practice sessions, and a quarter inch stock spacer lets you fine tune the 14 1/4 inch length of pull. At just under 8 pounds, it carries enough weight to smooth out your swing without wearing you down over a full day of shooting.
The CX stands for crossover, and that is exactly how it shoots. The 60/40 point of impact and 30 inch barrels make it a natural fit for sporting clays and skeet, while the 3 inch chambers and included choke selection let it pull double duty on doves, pheasants, and other upland birds.

The barrels use Browning's Invector-Plus system, which is one of the most widely supported choke patterns out there, so finding additional constrictions from Browning or aftermarket makers like Carlson's or Briley is easy.
Yes, to a degree. Browning includes a 1/4 inch stock spacer so you can lengthen the standard 14 1/4 inch pull if you need a bit more reach. The Inflex recoil pad can also be swapped for different thicknesses if you want to fine tune the fit further.
