There's a reason the Citori has been the go-to over under for generations, and the Lightning in 20 gauge might be the sweetest version of the whole family. This one wears the classic look through and through: deep polished bluing on the barrels, receiver, top lever, and trigger guard, high relief engraving on the steel receiver, and a gloss finished black walnut stock with the rounded pistol grip and forearm that gave the Lightning its name. Add the gold trigger and crisp cut checkering and you have a gun that draws compliments before it ever leaves the rack.
At around 6.9 pounds with 28 inch barrels, this Citori swings smooth without feeling sluggish, and the 20 gauge frame keeps it lively between the hands for grouse trails, dove fields, and pheasant hunts where you carry a lot and shoot a little. The rounded Lightning grip lets your hand settle into the same spot every mount, which pays off when a bird flushes with no warning. Three Invector-Plus tubes come standard: Improved Cylinder for close flushing birds, Modified for all-around field work, and Full for longer passing shots. That covers most upland and clays duty right out of the box, and the Invector-Plus system means plenty of aftermarket options if you want to fine tune later. It ships with three Invector-Plus tubes: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. That trio handles everything from close flushing birds to longer passing shots. The Lightning name refers to the rounded pistol grip and rounded forearm, a style that traces back to Browning's old Superposed guns. This version pairs that profile with gloss finished black walnut and fine cut checkering.
Citoris have a well-earned reputation for shrugging off huge round counts.
