The Maxus II All-Purpose Hunter in Mossy Oak Bottomland is Browning's answer to hunters who refuse to run two or three different shotguns through the year. Browning's PowerDrive Gas System is engineered to cycle the full range of ammunition, from lighter 2.75" loads up through 3.5" magnum shells. For the 3.5" chambered version like this one, the general recommendation is a minimum payload of 1-1/8 oz. for reliable cycling with standard 2.75" shells. If you plan to run lighter loads regularly, that is worth keeping in mind, but for hunting-weight loads the system is well-proven.
