John Browning designed both the 1911 and the .380 ACP cartridge, so putting the two together just makes sense. The 1911-380 Black Label Medallion Pro Compact is a scaled-down 1911, about 85% the size of a full-size .45 model, and that sizing is the whole point. It's big enough to get a real grip on, unlike the tiny pocket .380s that sting your hand and dance around under recoil, yet small and light enough at 16 ounces to disappear inside a waistband. The 3.63 inch barrel and 4.75 inch sight radius give you more velocity and easier aiming than the micro guns, and the low bore axis keeps muzzle flip mild.
The Medallion Pro trim is the dressed-up version of this platform, and it shows. The blackened stainless steel slide wears brushed silver polished flats for a sharp two-tone look, and the checkered rosewood grips carry gold Buckmark inlays. Underneath the good looks is a composite frame built around a machined 7075 aluminum subframe with aluminum slide rails, so the slide runs on metal, not plastic. Steel three-dot combat sights are dovetailed into the slide, which means you can drift them for windage or swap them down the road.
