The SXP earned its reputation on speed. The inertia-assisted pump action uses recoil energy to start the slide moving rearward, so follow-up shots come quicker than you would expect from a pump gun. A four-lug rotary bolt locks up tight into the barrel extension for consistent, secure lockup shot after shot. With the 3.5 inch chamber you can run everything from light 2.75 inch field loads to full-house magnum waterfowl and turkey shells, and the Inflex recoil pad takes real sting out of the heavy stuff.

Yes. This version of the Hybrid Hunter has a 3.5 inch chamber, so it will run 2.75, 3, and 3.5 inch 12 gauge shells. That flexibility makes it a solid pick for everything from dove loads to heavy waterfowl and turkey magnums, and the Inflex recoil pad helps tame the big stuff.
It ships with three flush-fit Invector-Plus tubes: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder, plus a wrench. The Invector-Plus system is one of the most common choke platforms out there, so aftermarket options for waterfowl and turkey are easy to find if you want to fine-tune your patterns.
That is exactly the environment it was built for. The bore and chamber are hard chrome plated, the barrel and receiver wear a weather-resistant FDE Perma-Cote finish, and the Mossy Oak Bottomland composite stock will not swell or crack like wood. Give it a basic wipe-down after wet hunts and it will run for years.
The safety is a reversible crossbolt design, so it can be switched over for left-handed use. Ejection is still to the right side, but plenty of lefties run SXPs without issue since the empties throw away from the body.
