The Walkers EXT Range Muff, Glasses & Plugs Combo is one of those grab-and-go kits that just makes life easier. Instead of piecing together hearing and eye protection separately, you get a folding over-the-head muff, a set of sport shooting glasses, and a pair of foam earplugs all in one package. It's a smart pickup for a first-timer building out their range bag, or for the seasoned shooter who keeps losing track of loaner gear for buddies.
The muff itself is built around comfort for longer sessions. It has a padded headband and soft PVC ear pads that don't dig in after an hour on the line, and the whole thing is ultra-lightweight with a compact folding design that tucks flat into a bag or drawer. The ear cups carry a 30 dB NRR on their own, which handles most indoor and outdoor pistol and rifle work.
The sport glasses run high-grade polycarbonate lenses that meet ANSI Z87.1 high-impact requirements, so they hold up to blowback and stray debris. There's an adjustable nose pad to dial in the fit across different face sizes, and the frame design lets air flow to help cut down on fogging. The included foam earplugs conform to the shape of your ear and carry a 31 dB rating.
Here's where the combo really earns its spot: on indoor ranges or next to muzzle brakes and big magnums, you can wear the plugs under the muffs for stacked protection. That layered setup is exactly how a lot of instructors recommend running things in tight, echoey bays. Between the folding muffs, the impact glasses, and the plugs, this Walkers EXT kit covers the three essentials any shooter should have before stepping up to the firing line.
Yes, and it's a great idea in louder settings. Wearing the 31 dB foam plugs underneath the 30 dB muffs stacks your protection, which is handy on indoor ranges or next to firearms with muzzle brakes. Doubling up is a common recommendation for tight, echoey shooting bays.
They do. The EXT muffs use a compact folding design that lets them collapse flat, so they slide easily into a range bag, backpack, or glove box without hogging space. That folding hinge is one of the main reasons this kit travels so well.
The sport glasses use high-grade polycarbonate lenses that meet ANSI Z87.1-2003 high-impact requirements, so they're built to handle blowback and flying debris at the range. They also have an adjustable nose pad and an airflow-friendly design to help keep them from fogging up.
It's a solid starter setup. You get hearing and eye protection in one package, which takes the guesswork out of assembling gear for your first few range trips. It's also a smart pick for keeping extra protection on hand for guests or new shooters you bring along.
