The Viridian C5L Micro is the shrunk-down version of the laser and light combo that started the whole category. It pairs a daytime-visible green laser with a 550-lumen white LED in a package small enough to ride comfortably on today's carry pistols. Green lasers are simply easier for the human eye to pick up than red, so you get faster target acquisition whether you're in a pitch-black hallway or squinting into midday sun. The 550 lumens is plenty of punch for identifying what's in front of you and filling a room with light.
This is the universal-mount version, so it clamps onto standard accessory rails rather than being cut for one specific gun. Viridian lists broad compatibility across popular compact and sub-compact platforms including the Sig P365-XMACRO, Taurus G3C and G2C, S&W Shield 2.0 EZ and Equalizer, Springfield Hellcat and Hellcat Pro, Walther PDP, Taurus TX22 Compact, and the Canik Mete MC9, among others. The adjustable rail mount is designed to sit tight without overhang on most railed handguns.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, and you can run laser only, light only, or both together, with multiple brightness levels and a strobe mode in the mix. The real party trick is INSTANT-ON. Paired with a compatible holster or a holster fitted with the magnet system, the unit fires up automatically the moment you clear leather, so there's no fumbling for a switch under stress. The built-in Holster Retention Feature helps it seat securely whether you carry concealed or open.
Power comes from an internal rechargeable lithium-polymer battery topped off by Viridian's SAFECharge power bank. You just bring the magnetic connector near the unit and it wakes up, charges, and shuts off on its own once full. The aluminum-bodied housing keeps things light and rugged for daily carry duty.

Yes. INSTANT-ON activation works by magnet, so it requires a compatible Viridian holster or a holster fitted with the magnet system. With one of those, the light and laser turn on automatically the instant you draw. You can still run the C5L Micro manually with any holster, you just won't get the auto-on function.
