Constructed from T6061 aerospace-grade aluminum, each extension is precision CNC machined for a fit that's tight and consistent. The bead-blasted, hardcoat anodized finish in gray delivers excellent durability and won't look out of place on your firearm. The front and rear ledges give you solid purchase points for quick reloads and make it easier to pull stuck mags free in a pinch.
The extension includes a 10% power spring that's 110% stronger than the factory OEM spring, with an extra coil built in. This isn't just about raw strength, it's about consistency. Yes. The extension works with both the Echelon 15-round and standard 17-round magazines. Note that it does not fit the 10-round Echelon magazines.
NoBak is Tyrant's proprietary plunger retention system that locks the extension to the magazine base plate. It's engineered to stay put even after drops from over 10 feet with a fully loaded magazine, so you won't lose parts during heavy training or carry use.
No tools required. The extension slides onto the magazine base plate using the NoBak system and takes about 10 seconds. You can also remove it just as quickly if needed.
The stronger spring ensures reliable feeding throughout the magazine and maintains consistent slide lock after the last round is fired. It's calibrated to work with the added capacity without inducing malfunctions.
