The Tyrant CNC Echelon magazine extension is built to give you real capacity gains without the bulk of switching to a full-sized frame. This gold anodized base pad slips onto your existing 15 or 17-round Echelon magazine and adds five rounds of 9mm, putting you at 20 or 22 total depending on which mag you're extending.
What makes this different from just grabbing a factory extended magazine is the engineering inside. Tyrant packed a stronger spring into the assembly, a 10% power spring with an extra coil compared to factory spec. That matters because it ensures the last round feeds reliably and maintains slide lock when you're running it dry. The machining is CNC precise, which translates to a perfect fit that won't rattle or shift when you're working fast.
The extension uses Tyrant's NoBak technology, which means no tools required. It drops on and stays put through drops from heights over 10 feet loaded, according to their testing. The machined ledges on the top and bottom aren't just for show either. They give you something solid to grab for controlled mag changes and make it easier to pry out a stuck mag if it happens. The gold finish is a darker, flatter tone compared to some other manufacturers, so it stays subtle on the gun rather than standing out.
T6061 aerospace-grade aluminum is the base material, chosen for its balance of strength and light weight. The whole piece is bead-blasted then hardcoat anodized, which creates a surface that resists wear and keeps its appearance. Compatible with both standard 17-round and compact 4.0C 15-round Echelon magazines, though it won't work with the 10-round mags or factory 20-round magazines. For range days, competition, or any time you want a few more rounds without committing to a larger pistol, this extension fills that gap.

The included 10% power spring ensures the final round feeds reliably and maintains slide lock after the last shot. It's that attention to detail that prevents the feeding issues you might get with an extension that uses a stock spring.
Hardcoat anodize is a tough finish designed for repeated use. The bead-blasted surface before anodizing gives it a subtle appearance and the whole process creates a surface resistant to scratches and corrosion.
