If you want more ammunition in your Glock magazine without buying new mags, this extension from Tyrant CNC slides right onto your existing base plate in under 10 seconds with zero tools required. The whole thing is CNC-machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and finished in matte black for a low-profile look that doesn't stand out.
The extension replaces your factory base pad and uses Tyrant's proprietary retention plunger system to stay put. Installation is genuinely simple because the plunger lets the pad slide smoothly onto the magazine, then locks into place. Removal is just as straightforward if you ever need to swap it off. A new, slightly stronger magazine spring comes included to handle the extra rounds reliably.
You get 5 additional rounds for 9mm (taking a G17 from 17 to 22 rounds) or 4 additional rounds for .40 caliber. It works on Glock 17, 19X, 22, 34, 35, and 45 models with 17-round factory magazines. The extension also plays nicely with most aftermarket Glock mags, though Magpul PMAGs and 10-round magazines aren't compatible.
The extra weight from the aluminum construction helps your magazines drop cleanly and reliably, which matters when you're reloading fast. The knurled surface gives you something solid to grip when you're manipulating magazines, especially under pressure. At just 1.3 ounces, it adds useful heft without bloat. Everything is finished in matte black to keep things discreet.
Push down the retention plunger inside the extension and slide it straight onto the bottom of your magazine. It locks into place automatically and takes about 10 seconds with no tools required. To remove it, just push the plunger down again and slide it off.
It works great on factory Glock 17-round magazines and most aftermarket Glock-compatible mags. However, it won't work with Magpul PMAGs or factory 10-round magazines. Make sure you're starting with a standard 17-round base magazine for best results.
You get 6 additional rounds for 9mm cartridges or 5 additional rounds for .40 caliber. The included power spring is engineered to handle the extra capacity reliably.
