This is the genuine Springfield Armory factory magazine for XD-S and XD-S Mod.2 .45 ACP pistols, offering a straightforward, dependable solution for owners who want spare magazines or replacements. Built from stainless steel and manufactured to the exact same specifications and tolerances as the original equipment magazines, you get a drop-in fit with zero surprises.
The magazine holds 5 rounds and ships with a pinky extension floor plate. That hook-style extension adds grip length on your shooting hand, which makes a real difference on single-stack guns designed for concealed carry. The compact profile fits both 3.3" and 4.0" XD-S barrel lengths, so whether you're running the shorter or longer version, this mag works. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion and holds up to regular use at the range or for carry duty.
User feedback confirms these feed smoothly and function reliably. The stainless steel wire spring and polymer follower ensure consistent performance whether you're loading for target practice or defensive work. If you have the original XD-S or the newer Mod.2 variant, these magazines are cross-compatible, so you can build out your mag rotation without worrying about compatibility issues.
Yes, these magazines are cross-compatible between the original XD-S and XD-S Mod.2 models. The XDS5005H is factory-designed to work with both generations without any modification or fitting required. Just drop it in and it'll function the same way in either pistol.
The hook-style floor plate extension adds grip length to your shooting hand, which is especially useful on compact single-stack guns where your pinky might otherwise hang off the bottom of the magazine. The extension is attached to the floor plate and is designed to stay in place, though you can swap out the floor plate if you prefer a flush-fit option later.
Yes, this magazine is compatible with both 3.3" and 4.0" XD-S and XD-S Mod.2 models. Springfield designed the single-stack magazine platform to work across both barrel lengths, so you have full compatibility regardless of which size pistol you're running.
This 5-round magazine is the base capacity flush-fit option for the XD-S platform. Springfield also offers extended 6-round and 7-round versions if you want more capacity, but this 5-rounder remains the most compact option that still fits the gun without extending past the grip.
Yes, this is the genuine Springfield Armory OEM magazine (XDS5005H). It's manufactured to the exact specifications and tolerances as the original magazines that come with new XD-S and XD-S Mod.2 pistols, ensuring perfect fit and reliable operation.
