This is the A-Series version, which means the internal geometry is specifically designed around the case dimensions of medium-frame .38 and .357 ammunition. The 36A fits a broad range of J-frame revolvers and similar platform guns from major manufacturers: S&W 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, 49, 60, 340, and 360; Taurus 85, 605, 651, and 851; Charter Arms; Rossi 68; and Ruger SP101. If your gun has an oversized grip or your cylinder release sits where the loader would interfere, you may need to swap grips or make minor modifications.
