There's a lot to like about a .308 AR that doesn't fight you, and that's the whole idea behind the Saint Victor V2. Springfield took their proven big-bore Victor and gave it a real refresh, not just a new roll mark. The forged 7075-T6 upper and lower are held tight by the Accu-Tite tension system, and the 16 inch 4150 CMV barrel now wears a continuous-taper profile that adds rigidity and handles heat better during longer range sessions. A nitride finish inside and out keeps corrosion at bay, and the 1:10 twist stabilizes the bullet weights most folks feed a .308, whether that's 147 grain range ammo or 168 grain match loads.
The upgrades on this generation are the kind you'd normally add yourself. A Radian Raptor-LT ambidextrous charging handle comes standard, along with a 45-degree ambi safety and a flat-faced nickel boron trigger that breaks clean for a factory gun. The free-float aluminum handguard now runs a full-length top rail with plenty of M-LOK real estate and built-in QD sockets, so mounting lights, bipods, and slings is simple. Low-profile flip-up sights are included, and the taper-pinned gas block paired with an enhanced 9310 steel bolt carrier group keeps the rifle cycling reliably under the added pressure of 7.62.

It feeds from SR-25 pattern magazines, which is the most common .308 AR magazine standard out there. Magpul LR/SR PMAGs, Lancer L7s, and similar mags all fit. One 10-round Magpul PMAG Gen M3 comes in the box, and higher capacity SR-25 pattern mags will run in it as well.
