The Sig Sauer P365XL has a pretty simple pitch: take a micro-compact pistol and make it shoot like something bigger without making it bigger. Sig pulled it off. The XL adds a longer slide and the XSeries grip module to the P365 platform, which bumps overall length by only about half an inch while bringing 12+1 capacity and a sight radius that actually lets you shoot accurately at distance. At 20.7 oz and 6.6" overall, it carries like a compact but handles like something you'd want to train with seriously.
The XSeries flat-face trigger is a real standout. It breaks cleanly at 90 degrees with a short, predictable reset, and sits right around 5.5 lbs pull weight. That's a carry-appropriate trigger that doesn't feel like it was designed by a liability team. The extended beavertail and integrated magwell on the grip module help with both control and reloads, and the grip texture finds a middle ground that's firm without being uncomfortable after a long session.
Sig includes XRAY3 day/night sights as standard equipment, which is not something to gloss over. The front sight has a tritium insert surrounded by a bright green photoluminescent ring, and the rear has two tritium dots. Fast to pick up in daylight, usable in the dark. On a lot of competitors, sights like these would be a paid upgrade. The optic-ready slide is cut in the Shield RMSc footprint, so popular micro red dots like the Holosun 507K or Sig's own Romeo Zero drop right on without any gunsmithing. If you're not running an optic, the XRAY3 irons do the job on their own.

The slide is cut in the Shield RMSc footprint, which has become the standard for micro red dots.
