The P365 XMacro Comp with the Romeo-X SIG-LOC optic is what happens when Sig takes their most popular carry pistol and stacks every meaningful upgrade onto a single platform. The striker-fired 9mm runs a 3.1-inch barrel paired with an integrally compensated slide — the slide is longer than the barrel and uses machined ports to redirect gas upward, taming muzzle flip without adding length beyond the frame or requiring a threaded barrel. That design detail matters more than it might sound on paper: follow-up shots are genuinely flatter and faster compared to a standard P365, without any of the downsides that come with a bolt-on compensator.
The XMacro grip module is noticeably roomier than the original P365 or even the P365XL. It uses a 360-degree texture with an undercut below the trigger guard so you can get a high, locked-in purchase on the gun. Interchangeable small, medium, and large backstraps come in the box, so fitting the grip to your hand is something you can dial in before you even head to the range. There's also a standard M1913 accessory rail up front for a light or laser, which was a long-requested feature on the P365 platform.
The factory-installed Romeo-X SIG-LOC Compact is a serious optic, not a throw-in. It uses a fully enclosed and sealed 7075 aluminum housing, a side-loading CR1632 battery that you can swap without removing the optic or disturbing your zero, and MOTAC motion-activated illumination with a rated 20,000-hour runtime. The reticle is a 2 MOA center dot inside a 32 MOA circle — that combination gives you a precision aiming point for distance and a fast acquisition ring for close work. The SIG-LOC mounting system creates five points of contact between the optic and slide, which is a meaningful upgrade over traditional two-screw optic mounting in terms of zero retention under sustained recoil. Backing all of that up are Sig's XRAY3 day/night sights, which co-witness with the optic and give you a tritium-illuminated fallback option in any lighting condition. The XRAY3 front sight glows bright green in daylight and tritium-illuminated at night — they're legitimately good backup sights, not an afterthought.
This specific SKU ships with two 10-round steel magazines with high-visibility followers. The pistol weighs 22 oz with a magazine loaded and measures 6.6 inches overall. Everything is covered under Sig's Infinite Guarantee, which is fully transferable with no receipts required.
Rather than threading a compensator onto the barrel, Sig built the compensation function directly into the slide. The slide extends beyond the 3.1-inch barrel and has machined ports that vent propellant gas upward to counteract muzzle rise. This approach keeps the overall package compact and avoids the snag potential or increased overall length of a traditional muzzle-mounted comp.
This model ships with the Romeo-X SIG-LOC Compact pre-installed. It features a 2 MOA dot / 32 MOA circle reticle, 15 brightness levels including three night vision settings, and a side-loading battery that you can replace without pulling the optic. The slide uses Sig's SIG-LOC mounting system, but the optic cut is also compatible with other Shield RMSc-footprint optics if you prefer a different dot down the road.
It's purpose-built for it. The XMacro grip module keeps the width at 1.2 inches, which is slim for a gun with this many features. The compensated slide runs an XL-length slide profile on a 3.1-inch barrel, so overall length stays at 6.6 inches — manageable for IWB carry. The main trade-off compared to a standard P365 is slightly more height from the grip module, though many people actually find the longer grip easier to conceal against the body.
Yes. This configuration includes an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, which some carriers prefer for an added layer of retention security during the draw and reholster. It's a 1911-style thumb safety in terms of placement and intuitive operation — up for safe, down to fire.
The 10-round magazines included are purpose-built for the XMacro grip module. Standard P365 and P365XL flush-fit magazines are shorter and do not take full advantage of the XMacro's grip length, though P365 extended magazines will seat and function. For best ergonomics, magazines designed specifically for the XMacro platform are the right call.
You'll want a holster specifically cut for the P365 XMacro with an optic cutout, since the Romeo-X sits in a SIG-LOC-specific footprint that's slightly different from standard Shield RMSc-cut holsters. Many major kydex makers including Safariland, Blackhawk, and various custom shops offer XMacro-specific molds. Always verify optic compatibility with the holster maker before ordering.
