Sig took two of their best ideas, the competition-bred X-Five and the premium Legion series, and rolled them into one pistol. The P226 X-Five Legion is a full-size, single-action-only 9mm built around a 4.4 inch barrel and a stainless steel two-port slide with Sig's integrated expansion chamber, which vents gas to keep the muzzle planted during fast strings. The AX3 trigger is the headline feature here. It's a flat-faced, single-action trigger that adjusts three ways: pull weight, over-travel, and length of pull thanks to a removable shoe. Straight from the factory it breaks clean, and once you dial it in for your hand, it gets even better. The frame wears Cerakote Elite Legion Gray, carries an ambidextrous thumb safety with a generous shelf for your strong thumb, a flared magwell for quick reloads, and an oversized takedown lever that doubles as a gas pedal for your support hand. There's also a Picatinny rail up front if you want to hang a light on it.
No need to shop for an optic or hunt down mounting plates. The ROMEO-X reflex sight comes mounted from the factory, and suppressor-height XRAY3 day/night sights sit tall enough to co-witness through the window. If you ever pull the dot, the rear sight plate is removable and the irons are fully usable on their own.
