The Sig Sauer P365X is already one of the most popular carry platforms out there, and Shark Coast Tactical took it somewhere nobody else has gone. The Komodo Anime edition starts with the proven P365X foundation, a striker-fired 9mm with a 3.1-inch barrel and a flat XSeries trigger, then wraps the whole thing in a hand-drawn, cell-shaded anime-inspired Cerakote finish that looks like it was pulled straight off the page. The grip module is machined from 7075 aluminum, not polymer, which adds a noticeably solid feel in the hand and brings laser-engraved stippling for grip texture that actually works.
The standout functional upgrade on this build is the Zaffiri Precision threadless compensated barrel, finished in high-polish gold. The threadless design redirects gas downward through a 120-degree port opening, knocking muzzle flip down significantly and helping you get back on target faster without any of the mechanical clunkiness of a traditional threaded comp setup. The barrel itself is match-grade 416R stainless steel with broach-cut 6-groove rifling and a 1:10 twist rate. This is not a gimmick comp, it genuinely flattens the gun out during rapid fire, and it keeps the overall package compact since it doesn't require a threaded muzzle or additional hardware.
The slide is custom-cut and optic-ready, so dropping on a micro red dot is a straightforward upgrade whenever you're ready. Night sights are already installed from the factory, which means you have usable low-light capability right out of the box without spending extra. The package includes two 17-round double-stack magazines, giving this compact pistol a capacity that competes well above its size class. The Komodo aluminum grip module also features a modified Picatinny rail section, so adding a light or laser is an easy call. Between the comp barrel, the aluminum frame, the optic-ready slide, and the night sights, this is a fully capable build that doesn't ask you to do any extra work once it arrives.
Most compensators require a threaded barrel and a separate comp that screws on, which adds length and complexity. The Zaffiri threadless comp uses a Ball-Vise locking system with a single set screw to secure it without any threads. It redirects gas downward through a 120-degree port, which can reduce muzzle flip by up to 35% in testing. The end result is a flatter-shooting gun that stays compact and doesn't require additional hardware.
Shark Coast Tactical machines the Komodo grip module from 7075 aluminum, which is the same alloy used in aircraft components. It's noticeably more rigid than a standard polymer frame, adds a premium feel in the hand, and holds up to hard use over time. The module also features laser-engraved stippling rather than molded texturing, which tends to be more aggressive and consistent. It's a meaningful upgrade over the stock P365X grip module.
Yes, night sights come factory-installed on this model. The optic-ready slide also allows you to add a micro red dot at any point without removing the night sights entirely, depending on the mounting plate configuration. So you have usable low-light iron sights from day one, with the option to layer on a dot later.
The P365X platform uses the Romeo Zero Elite footprint natively, which is compatible with a wide range of popular micro red dots. The slide features a custom optic cut, and you'll want to confirm compatibility with your specific optic before purchasing. The optic is not included with the pistol.
Because this build uses a standard P365X slide length but adds the Zaffiri compensated barrel at the muzzle end, clearance can be tight with some form-fitting Kydex holsters designed for the stock P365X. Holsters with an open muzzle or extra muzzle clearance are your best bet. It's worth checking with your holster manufacturer specifically for compensated P365X fitment before ordering.
The Komodo Anime series is a collaboration between Sig Sauer and Shark Coast Tactical, and it's treated as a specialty limited-edition release rather than a standard catalog item. Availability tends to come and go, and specific colorways sell out without restocking on a predictable schedule. If you see the exact configuration you want, it's worth picking it up when it's in stock.
