The LC Carbine is Ruger's answer to the question a lot of folks asked after the Ruger-5.7 pistol took off: why not a rifle that runs the same magazines? This one does exactly that, feeding 20-round Ruger-5.7 steel mags through the grip while a bolt-over-barrel layout keeps the whole package slim, balanced, and quick to the shoulder. At 5.9 pounds it carries like a 10/22 with a little extra heft, and the 5.7x28mm cartridge means recoil is soft enough that new and experienced folks alike can run drills without getting beat up.
The 16.25 inch fluted barrel wears a black nitride finish for corrosion resistance and long-term durability, and it comes threaded 1/2"-28 with a thread protector installed, so muzzle brakes, flash hiders, and suppressors spin right on. The reversible side-folding stock adjusts for length of pull and drops overall length to a very packable size when folded, which makes this thing easy to stash in a truck bag or small case. Ruger Rapid Deploy folding sights come installed and adjust for windage and elevation, while the full-length Picatinny rail gives you plenty of real estate for a red dot or low-power optic.
