The RM1C Comp is what happens when you take a compact 9mm that was already loaded with features and add an integral compensator to the mix. The port is cut directly into the barrel and matched with a corresponding port in the slide, venting gas upward to keep the muzzle from climbing during rapid fire. The result is a gun that runs noticeably flatter than a standard compact, which makes it genuinely useful whether you're drilling at the range, running a USPSA-style course, or just want more control out of a carry gun.
The slide is machined from nitrocarburized steel with a Tenifer finish for serious corrosion resistance, and the full-length anti-glare serrations on top aren't just for looks — they actually help you find your sight picture faster under bright conditions. The optic cut uses an RMR footprint, which opens the door to a wide range of red dots including the Trijicon RMR/SRO, Holosun 407C, 507C, 508T, and 509T, among others. The iron sights are steel, dovetailed, and use an XD/XDM-compatible pattern, so swapping them out later is easy. The bore axis is kept deliberately low, which works with the compensator to keep everything on target.
The grip is where Rost Martin puts a lot of their personality into the gun. Their Responsive Grip Texturing (RGT) is a graduated laser stippling that grips back harder the more pressure you apply — it's comfortable enough for all-day carry but secure enough when things speed up at the range. Modular backstraps let you dial in the fit for your hand size, and the textured thumb shelves on both sides of the frame give your support hand something to push against. Yes. The RM1C Comp shares the same overall dimensions as the standard RM1C, so it is compatible with holsters made for that model. Several holster makers including ANR Design, CrossBreed, DeSantis, We The People, and KSG Armory have dedicated fits for the RM1C platform. The dimensions are also close enough to a Glock 19 that many adjustable G19 holsters will work with some tension adjustment.
The RM1C Comp ships with a metal RMR-footprint optic plate, which is compatible with the Trijicon RMR, SRO, and RCR, as well as the Holosun 407C, 507C, 508T, and 509T, the Swampfox Kingslayer and Justice series, and several other popular dots. Rost Martin also sells additional plates for the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, Docter, and Shield footprints on their website, so you have plenty of options.
