Reptilia took its well-liked CQG grip and made one clean change: they dropped the beavertail. That small tweak in the thumb web area brings the CQG-NB much closer to the classic A2 feel a lot of folks grew up on, while keeping the vertical geometry and grip texture that made the original a favorite. If you never got along with a beavertail digging into the web of your hand, this is the version built for you.
The whole point of this grip is to encourage a higher hand position through a more pronounced vertical angle. That upright wrist position tends to feel more natural on shorter guns, where a traditional A2 rake can over-extend the wrist and wear you out. Anti-slip texture runs across the front and rear of the grip, so it holds up whether your hands are sweaty, gloved, or working through a wet range day. It also plays nice with a wide range of hand sizes, so it isn't picky about who's running it.
Reptilia designed the CQG-NB specifically around compact-sized short-barreled rifles, AR pistols, pistol-caliber carbines, and PDWs. It fits AR15, AR10, SR25, SIG MCX, and FN SCAR 16 and 17 pattern hosts, so one grip covers a lot of ground if you run a few different builds. At 76 grams it barely adds any weight to your setup.

The CQG-NB keeps all the same geometry as the original CQG but removes the beavertail in the thumb web area. That gives you a feel much closer to a classic A2 grip, which some people simply prefer. Everything else, including the vertical angle and texture, carries over.
