The Archangel carrier is designed for military-length forends. Longer standard sporting forends may interfere with the pump action stroke. You'll want to measure your forend to verify clearance, or consider upgrading to a shorter tactical forend before installation.
Each of the seven shell slots has its own tension adjustment screw. You can tighten or loosen them individually to dial in how firmly each shell sits. This lets you accommodate different ammunition types or find the sweet spot between security and quick access.
This model is specifically designed for Mossberg 500 and 590 shotguns. The Maverick 88 has some compatibility with Mossberg parts, but ProMag has confirmed this particular shell carrier (AA113) is not recommended for the Maverick 88.
Installation typically takes around ten minutes if you're comfortable with basic shotgun maintenance. The carrier mounts using receiver bolts that are common on pump shotguns, and all hardware is included.
