Description

Patriot Ordnance Factory built its name on piston guns, so when they set out to make a direct impingement AR, they didn't just slap their logo on a standard parts kit. The Renegade+ Pistol in .300 AAC Blackout gets POF's patented heat sink barrel nut, a three inch chunk of finned aluminum that wraps the chamber area where heat peaks and pulls it away fast. The straight gas tube skips the bends where regular tubes tend to cook themselves, and the roller cam pin lets the bolt carrier glide through the upper instead of dragging on it. These are the wear points that show up after hard use, and POF addressed all of them from the factory.

A .300 Blackout That Tunes to Your Ammo

The 10.5 inch barrel is where .300 Blackout does its best work, burning the full powder charge that a 5.56 of the same length would waste as muzzle blast. It's 4150 CrMoV steel with a nitride heat treatment, 1:7 twist, 5R rifling, and 5/8×24 threads wearing a three prong flash hider. The Dictator 9-position adjustable gas block is the real gem here. Dial it down for supersonic loads, open it up for subsonics, or fine tune it when you hang a can on the muzzle. Anyone who has run a Blackout knows how much difference a properly tuned gas system makes, and this one adjusts in seconds.

Renegade Plus Controls and Trigger

The Gen 4 billet lower is fully ambidextrous, including the safety, and the Tomahawk charging handle can be run from either side with one hand. The flat faced 3.5 lb single stage trigger is drop in match grade with KNS anti-walk pins, and it breaks clean with no grit or stacking. POF's anti-tilt buffer tube cradles the carrier even at full forward travel, which cuts down on carrier tilt and premature wear. A QD end plate, MFT Engage V2 grip, and the slim 9 inch M-LOK Renegade rail round out the package. At 5.94 pounds with a 28 inch overall length, it's an easy handling setup that ships with a 30 round MFT magazine and is ready for your optic.
