Description

The MDT ACC Elite is the chassis a huge number of PRS competitors reach for when they want their Remington 700 short action to shoot flatter and settle faster. Machined from hard-anodized 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum with a Cerakote finish, this right-hand black model builds a foundation that stays put under recoil and when you load into a barricade or prop. The bare chassis runs about 6.1 pounds, and once you start adding weights it can climb toward the 16-pound range for a rifle that just plants on target.

What Sets the ACC Elite Apart

Rigidity is the whole story here. The strengthened forend, solid center base, and a connector bar linking the grip to the buttstock work together so the chassis doesn't twist or flex, even when the forend is unweighted. The 19-inch M-LOK forend carries a full-length integrated ARCA rail, plus an aggressive barricade stop and R-Lock interface along the bottom for rock-solid positioning on bags and props. There's also custom-cut grip tape in the box if you want extra bite on those surfaces.

Tuning the Balance on Your Remington 700 Build

The real magic of the ACC Elite is weight management. You can add or remove weights inside and outside the forend and in the buttstock, so you can fine-tune your balance point until the rifle naturally returns to target after every shot. Pair it with MDT weights and you can build a setup that fits your stage style, whether you want it nose-heavy for stability or dialed back to save a few ounces.

Fit and Ergonomics

The included SRS-X Elite buttstock brings toolless, rapid adjustment for cheek height, length of pull, and buttpad position, with hex key storage tucked under the cheek rest so you're never digging for tools. Length of pull runs from 12.25 to 14.75 inches with the included stock. Up front you get the MDT Vertical Grip Elite with connector bar and adjustable M-LOK thumb rests on both sides, and the whole thing runs AICS-pattern magazines and AR-15 style grips if you want to swap. Max barrel diameter is 1.350 inches, leaving plenty of room for a heavy competition contour.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the ACC Elite fit my Remington 700 short action?

Yes, this model is cut for the Remington 700 short-action footprint in right-hand configuration. Plenty of aftermarket actions share the Rem 700 footprint, so it works with many custom short actions too. Just confirm your action uses the standard Rem 700 short-action pattern before dropping it in.

What magazines does the MDT ACC Elite use?

The ACC Elite runs AICS-pattern magazines, which are the standard for precision bolt builds. It also ships with optional plastic dowels you can add to the magwell for a tighter, rattle-free magazine fit. That adjustable magwell and latch helps mags feed cleanly across different actions.

How much does the ACC Elite chassis weigh?

The bare chassis comes in around 6.1 pounds. Because it uses a modular weight system in the forend and buttstock, a fully loaded competition build can climb toward the 16-pound range once you add weights plus your action, barrel, and optic. That flexibility lets you tune the balance to your shooting style.

Can I mount a bipod and accessories to the forend?

Absolutely. The 19-inch forend has a full-length integrated ARCA rail for quick bipod and tripod mounting, along with M-LOK slots and mounting ports for weights, Baker Wings, and other accessories. It's also drilled and tapped to accept MDT's Night Vision Hood or Control Bridge.
