The Magpul PRO 700L takes your Remington 700 long action (or any 700-footprint receiver) and turns it into a purpose-built precision rig without the wallet-emptying price tag of a full custom chassis. It's built around a fully machined Type III hard-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum skeleton with a V-bedding block that cradles the action and free-floats the barrel, then wraps the whole thing in Magpul polymer. That polymer cladding isn't just for looks. It cuts down on noise, takes the sting out of cold metal on a frosty morning, and gives you a warmer, more comfortable surface to hang onto when you're building a position.
This chassis is loaded with adjustment. Length of pull runs from 13.25 to 15.125 inches, and the rubber buttpad adjusts for both height and cant so it sits right in your shoulder pocket. The cheek riser moves vertically and side to side for a repeatable cheek weld behind glass, and the polymer pistol grip gives you 0.75 inches of fore/aft travel to dial in trigger reach. Magpul even throws in a second grip with a more aggressive sweep if the standard vertical grip isn't your thing. The forend carries 21 M-LOK slots for bipods, arca rails, weights, or whatever else your match setup calls for.
The reversible folding hinge is a push-button, cast 4140 steel unit with a Melonite finish, and it swaps sides with a 5/32 hex wrench so lefties and righties both get a clean fold.
