Salt air and shotguns don't usually get along, and that's exactly the problem the MAC 1014 Marine was built to solve. Military Armament Corporation took its M4-pattern semi-auto, the one modeled after the shotgun that rode along with troops through two decades of hard service, and dressed the metalwork in an electroless marine nickel finish. The result is a 12 gauge that shrugs off moisture and corrosion whether it lives on a boat, in a truck, or tucked away for home defense duty.
Under the hood is a self-regulating gas piston system, the same basic approach that earned the original design its reputation for running clean and cycling a wide range of loads without fuss. Feed it light target shells or full-power 3-inch magnums and it just keeps working, and maintenance stays simple when it's time to clean up. The 18.5-inch barrel keeps the whole package quick-handling at 47.8 inches overall, with a 5+1 capacity and a fixed polymer pistol grip stock that gives you solid control during fast follow-up shots. A crossbolt safety and a rubber recoil pad round out the practical touches.
MAC didn't skimp on the top end. A factory-installed Picatinny rail is ready for a red dot, and the ghost ring rear sight adjusts for both windage and elevation while the white-dot front post adjusts for windage. Down at the muzzle, the barrel is threaded for Benelli/Mobil pattern chokes, and three tubes ship in the box so you can tighten or open your pattern to match your load, from buckshot to slugs.

For the most part, yes. The 1014 follows the M1014/M4 pattern and MAC designed it to work with most aftermarket parts, furniture, and accessories made for Benelli M4 variant shotguns. That opens up a lot of options for stocks, extensions, and other upgrades down the road.
Yes. The 18.5-inch barrel is a smoothbore, so rifled foster-style slugs run fine. Just use the cylinder choke for slugs rather than the full choke, since cylinder typically gives the best accuracy and keeps stress off the tighter constriction.
The big difference is the finish. The Marine wears an electroless marine nickel coating on the metalwork instead of the standard black, which gives it noticeably better resistance to rust and corrosion in humid or salty environments. Mechanically it runs the same self-regulating gas piston system as the rest of the 1014 line.
