LWRC took everything people loved about the IC-A5 and refined it into the IC-MKII, and this 10.5 inch pistol version might be the most practical way to get into one. The heart of the gun is still LWRC's patented short-stroke gas piston system, which vents hot, dirty gas under the handguard instead of dumping it into the receiver. That means a cooler, cleaner action, less wear on internals, and noticeably reduced felt recoil. The two-position adjustable gas block got a smart update too. It now uses a paddle-style adjustment tucked inside the rail, with access cut right into the handguard, so switching between suppressed and unsuppressed settings takes seconds without pulling anything apart.
The MKII upgrades go well beyond the gas system. The mono-forged upper receiver borrows its machining style from the REPR MKII line and pairs with a fully ambidextrous lower, so controls fall under your thumb no matter which shoulder you run it from. The new free-float M-LOK handguard is longer than the old A5 rail and comes off with just two screws, which makes piston maintenance about as painless as it gets.
