Description

The REPR MKII, short for Rapid Engagement Precision Rifle, grew out of the design work LWRC submitted for the military's CSASS program, and it shows in every detail. This side-charging version in 7.62 NATO takes the reliability of LWRC's patented short-stroke gas piston system and wraps it in a package built for precision work. The piston setup keeps carbon fouling out of the receiver and cuts down on felt recoil, which means less cleaning between range trips and quicker follow-up shots when it counts.

What Sets the REPR MKII Apart

The 16.1 inch cold hammer forged barrel is spiral fluted to shed weight and dissipate heat during longer strings, and the black nitride treatment adds serious durability and corrosion resistance. A 1:10 right-hand twist stabilizes everything from lighter match loads to heavier 175 grain bullets. The 20-position tunable gas block is a standout feature here, letting you dial the rifle in for specific ammo or suppressed shooting instead of settling for a simple on-off adjustment. The muzzle wears LWRC's four-port Ultra Brake on standard 5/8×24 threads, so swapping to a can or another device is straightforward.

Built Like a Rifle Should Be

LWRC didn't cut corners on the parts that matter. You get a genuine Geissele SSA-E two-stage trigger with a crisp, predictable break, a Monoforge upper receiver with an integrated rail base that's stiffer than a standard-pattern upper, and a fully ambidextrous lower with mirrored bolt catch, magazine release, and safety selector. The B5 Systems Precision stock and Magpul MOE+ grip give you comfortable, repeatable contact points, and the oversized trigger guard works well with gloves. LWRC Skirmish back-up iron sights come installed from the factory.

A 7.62 Platform Ready for Real Work

At around 9 pounds with a 20+1 capacity, this rifle is at home in a designated marksman role, on the bench chasing tight groups, or in the field where a hard-hitting .308 semi-auto earns its keep. It's a premium rifle built for people who plan to use it hard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the side charge and rear charge REPR MKII?

The side charge model adds a non-reciprocating charging handle on the left side of the upper receiver in addition to the standard rear AR-style charging handle. Many precision users prefer it because you can run the bolt without breaking your cheek weld or coming off the optic. Functionally, both versions share the same piston system, barrel, and trigger.

Is the LWRC REPR MKII suppressor ready?

Yes, it is well set up for suppressed shooting. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24, which is the standard pattern for most .30 caliber suppressors and mounts, and the 20-position adjustable gas block lets you tune the gas system down to run properly with a can. That level of adjustability is a big step up from simple two-position gas settings.

How accurate is the REPR MKII in 7.62 NATO?

LWRC rates the platform as capable of sub-MOA accuracy with quality ammunition. The cold hammer forged, spiral-fluted barrel, stiff Monoforge upper receiver, and Geissele SSA-E two-stage trigger all contribute to that consistency. Feed it good match ammo like 168 or 175 grain loads and it will reward you.

What magazines does the LWRC REPR MKII use?

It ships with one 20-round magazine and runs on SR-25 pattern .308 magazines, which is the most common AR-10 magazine standard. That means widely available options like Magpul PMAG 7.62 magazines will work. The lower also features a fully ambidextrous magazine release for easy reloads from either side.
