The 5-inch barrel is crowned and hammer-forged with button rifling, which is a step up from what you typically find at this price point. It locks up into a solid bushing the traditional way, keeping the setup simple and reliable. The Eagle HC Gen2 runs as a Series 70 design, meaning there's no firing pin block in the trigger path. Combined with the monoblock trigger (the bow and shoe are a single machined unit), the pull comes out crisp and consistent without any of the stacking or grittiness you get from lesser triggers built from multiple stacked parts.
The safety setup covers all the bases: an extended beavertail grip safety with a memory bump takes care of hammer bite, and the ambidextrous thumb safety means left- and right-handed shooters both get proper manual control.
