Henry has a knack for turning their rifles into rolling canvases, and the Golden Boy Firefighter Tribute Edition might be the best example of it. The original artwork was cut by hand engraver Rob Bunting, then transferred onto the nickel-plated receiver cover so every detail of the original engraving carries over. The right side reads IN TRIBUTE TO AMERICA'S BRAVEST in 24K gold plated bannering above a scene of a firefighter carrying a child from flame-styled scrollwork, with a gold plated American flag on the front panel. Flip it over and you'll find the Saint Florian cross on the left side, the words SERVICE VALOR COURAGE, and a firefighter's helmet bearing shield number 343 in memory of the firefighters lost on September 11, 2001. The American walnut stock carries a laser-etched aerial ladder truck, hand painted to capture those classic engine house colors and gold leaf lettering.
Here's the thing about Henry tribute rifles: they shoot just as well as they look. This is a real Golden Boy underneath, which means a buttery lever action, a 20 inch octagon blued steel barrel with a 1:16 twist, and the flexibility to run .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle. The tube magazine holds 16 rounds of .22 LR or 21 rounds of Short, so a lazy afternoon of plinking goes a long way between reloads. Sights are a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with a reversible white diamond insert paired with a brass bead up front, and the receiver is drilled and tapped if you ever want glass on it.
At 38.5 inches overall and 6.75 pounds, it balances like a proper classic lever gun, with a brass buttplate and a 14 inch length of pull that fits most adults comfortably. Made in America, like every Henry.

It's fully functional. Under the engraving and gold plating is a standard Henry Golden Boy, so it cycles and shoots just like the regular model. Plenty of owners display theirs, but there's no reason it can't see regular range time too.
The tube magazine handles .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle interchangeably. Capacity is 16 rounds of .22 LR or up to 21 rounds of .22 Short. That flexibility is one of the perks of a tube-fed rimfire lever gun.

Yes. The receiver comes drilled and tapped from the factory and accepts Henry's Golden Boy cantilever scope mount. That said, most folks stick with the adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and brass bead front sights to keep the classic look intact.
