Griffin Armament sat on additive manufacturing for years, waiting until the technology could deliver a printed can worth putting their name on. The Optimus 7 is the result, and the Dual-Lok FDE version pairs that 3D-printed core with the quick-detach mount their government customers kept asking for. This is a .30 caliber can built for .308 Win, .300 Win Mag, and everything in that neighborhood, and it runs a high gas-flow baffle stack that keeps back pressure down so your gas gun isn't blowing carbon back at your face.
Low back pressure designs usually give up flash performance, but Griffin tuned a quad-tine flash hider end cap specifically to work with this baffle stack, so you get flash reduction that most flow-through style cans can't touch. The whole core is printed from 17-4 H900 heat-treated stainless steel, and the tube body gets machined after printing, so the exterior is smooth instead of showing the layer lines you see on a lot of printed suppressors. The 1.73 inch tube diameter buys extra internal volume without turning it into a boat anchor, and the FDE high-temp Cerakote finish looks right at home on a hunting rig or a duty-style build.
The Dual-Lok system is Griffin's answer to quick-detach done without wear points. A locking collar engages anti-rotation splines on the muzzle device, so the can snaps on secure, stays put under fire, and comes off easy at the end of the day, all while keeping point of impact shift consistent and repeatable. This model ships with a Dual-Lok EZ-Brake in 5/8×24 for .30 caliber barrels, so you can mount up right out of the box.
The blast shield and mount are machined in-house from 17-4 stainless and laser-welded to the baffle core, and like every Griffin can, the Optimus 7 is covered by their Perpetual Lifetime Warranty. It comes out of Griffin's veteran-owned shop in Watertown, Wisconsin, where they've been building suppressors since 2005. A lot of tech packed into 7.49 inches.
