The Williams FP-94/36-TK is a Foolproof receiver sight built for folks who want to ditch the factory buckhorn and shoot their lever gun the way it deserves. It mounts back near your eye at the rear of the receiver, and once you look through that aperture your focus lands cleanly on the front sight and target. Old-timers and silhouette competitors have leaned on the Foolproof design for decades because it just plain works, and this version adds oversized target knobs so you can make adjustments without digging for a screwdriver.
This one covers a wide range of classic lever actions. It fits Winchester Model 94 top-eject, 55, 63, 64, 65, and the 9422, along with side-drilled Marlin 36, 336, 444, 44 Magnum, 93, 1894, 1895 and 1895G made before 2001, plus a handful of Sears and other centerfire lever guns. If your rifle already came drilled and tapped from the factory, install is about as simple as it gets and you're on paper in short order.
Inside the housing sits a micrometer adjustment system with positive internal locks, so your zero stays put through recoil and rough handling in the field. The big knurled knobs turn with a defined click for both windage and elevation, and white tick marks make it easy to track and repeat a setting. That repeatability is the whole reason target and silhouette shooters keep reaching for it.
The body is machined from an aluminum alloy with a tensile strength around 85,000 pounds, so it shrugs off knocks yet only tips the scale at about 1-1/2 ounces. The rust-free finish holds up to weather, and there's nothing sticking out to clutter your sight picture. The aperture threads out too, so you can swap in a smaller peep for precision work or run it open for a faster ghost-ring look in the woods. Pair it with a good front bead or fiber optic and you've got a lightweight iron sight setup that hangs with a low-power scope out to reasonable ranges.

The internal micrometer mechanism is the same proven Foolproof design. The TK version swaps the standard adjustment screws for large knurled target knobs so you can make windage and elevation changes by hand, click by click, without a tool. That adds a little bulk but makes it much faster to dial in, which is why silhouette and target shooters favor it.

For most people, a rear peep like this beats a barrel-mounted buckhorn because it moves the rear sight closer to your eye and lets your focus stay on the front sight and target. Shooters routinely report tighter groups after the swap, with some printing around two-inch groups at 100 yards once zeroed. Pairing it with a bright front bead or fiber optic front sight gets the most out of the setup.
