The UTG ACCU-SYNC front sight is one of those parts that punches well above its class. It's a spring-loaded flip-up that deploys the instant you hit the Posi-lock push button, popping the sight tower straight up and holding it there. When you fold it back down, it locks flat and out of your line of sight, so it stays put whether you're running an optic over the top or just keeping it stowed until you need it.
The body is machined from aircraft aluminum with a matte black anodized finish, and the important hardware inside is steel, including a standard A2 front sight post. That A2 post is the same one found across the AR-15 world, so it's easy to swap for any aftermarket post with matching dimensions if you want a thinner or taller blade. Elevation adjusts through the post the same way a traditional A2 sight does, which keeps things familiar for anyone who has zeroed irons before.
A lot of budget flip-ups loosen up under recoil, and UTG went after that problem directly. The low-profile base clamps to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail using a single locking Torx screw, and there are square-shaped integral recoil stops built into the base. Those stops take the beating instead of the screw, so the sight returns to zero after you pull it off and reinstall it. UTG lists a recommended torque of 35 in-lbs on the locking plate, which is worth following for a rock-solid mount.
