FMK Firearms is a California-based company with a serious American-made streak, and the Mach 9 G3 9C1 is their most refined take on the compact 9mm to date. The G3 update brought a lot to the table over previous generations, most notably an optic-ready slide that accepts popular footprint optics – Burris Fastfire 3, Vortex Viper, Vortex Venom, Trijicon RMR – without any adapter plates sitting between the optic and the slide. The barrel on this pistol is engineered to sit unusually low in the frame. Combined with the high undercut trigger guard and the shock-absorbing rubberized backstrap, it all works together to push muzzle flip down and keep the gun on target between shots. They're very close. The 9C1 G3 is dimensionally comparable to the Glock 19, coming in at 6.85" overall length, 5.09" height, and 1.14" width at 23.45 oz. unloaded. The FMK is slightly more compact overall and shares the same general carry footprint, which is part of why it fits a lot of Glock 19 holsters and uses Glock 19 compatible aftermarket sights.
The G3 ships with FMK's Fast Action Trigger (FAT), which is a single-action, striker-fired trigger with a shorter, lighter pull and a blade-style trigger safety built into the trigger shoe. It has a drop-free magazine release, which is standard on the non-California models. The trigger breaks around 5-6 lbs depending on the individual pistol, and fieldstrip procedure is the same as a Glock.
Yes, and it's easy. The 9C1 G3 uses a Glock 19 compatible sight system, which means a huge selection of aftermarket options from brands like TruGlo, Ameriglo, XS Sights, and others will drop right in. If you want to upgrade from the factory fixed sights, you have a lot to work with.

The snag-free design has virtually no external protrusions, the profile is slim at 1.14", and it sits in the same size class as the Glock 19 – a gun plenty of people carry daily. This standard (non-Elite) model ships with one 14-round magazine. FMK also makes 10-round and 17-round magazines that are compatible with the pistol, so stocking up on spare mags is straightforward and the options are there if you want higher-capacity options.
