Diamondback builds the DB15 line entirely in the USA at their own CNC facility, and the Black Gold series is where they show off a little. This version wears Flat Dark Earth Cerakote with a black nitride barrel, and the signature Black Gold lower receiver adds gold accents that set it apart from the sea of plain black carbines out there. It's a sharp looking rifle that still checks all the boxes where it counts.
Under the finish you get a 16 inch medium-profile 4150 chrome moly vanadium barrel with a 1:8 twist, which stabilizes everything from lightweight varmint loads up to heavier 77 grain match ammo. The mid-length gas system is a real plus at this barrel length, softening the recoil impulse and easing wear on parts compared to a carbine-length setup. The bolt carrier is shot-peened, magnetic particle inspected 8620 steel, and both receivers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a T-marked A3 flattop upper ready for your optic of choice. Up front, Diamondback's own DBSB-IV flash hider caps the 1/2×28 threaded muzzle.
Diamondback didn't cheap out on the touch points. You get a genuine Magpul CTR adjustable stock, a MOE-K2 grip with a comfortable vertical angle, and a 30 round Gen 2 PMAG in the box. The 15 inch M-LOK V Rail handguard comes with anti-slip texture pads and gives you room for lights, hand stops, bipods, or whatever else your setup calls for. Since the DB15 is built on the standard AR-15 pattern, it plays nice with the huge aftermarket if you ever want to swap parts down the road.
