The pistol-length gas system is tuned to cycle both suppressed and unsuppressed, and the factory linear compensator pushes blast and concussion forward instead of back at you, which your ears and range neighbors will appreciate.
Everything else is what you expect from Daniel Defense. The 7075-T6 aluminum receivers wear a flared magwell and QD attachment point, the 6" MFR XL flat front rail gives you M-LOK real estate for a light or laser, and the included SLR MOD2 handstop keeps your support hand where it belongs on a barrel this short. The GRIP-N-RIP ambidextrous charging handle works from either side, and the M16-profile bolt carrier group is MP tested with a properly staked gas key.
It ships with one 30-round magazine and no sights, so plan on adding a red dot. A compact optic and a weapon light are really all this rifle needs to earn a permanent spot by the bedside or in the truck.
