Browning reworked the receiver on the X-Bolt 2 with extra bolt guidance surface, and you can feel it. The bolt runs smooth without the bind that shows up on a lot of factory guns when you cycle fast from the shoulder. The short 60 degree bolt lift clears big optics and keeps your knuckles off the scope, while the DLX trigger, a three-lever design with no creep, no take-up, and no overtravel, comes set at 3.5 pounds and adjusts down to 3. Feeding comes from Browning's rotary magazine, which stacks rounds in the center for a straight shot into the chamber, giving you 4+1 on tap.
The black composite stock shrugs off weather and keeps the look all business, and the Inflex recoil pad takes the edge off what little the 6.5 Creedmoor dishes out. Yes, that is the whole idea behind this build. The muzzle comes threaded 5/8-24 with a thread protector included, and the 18 inch barrel is intentionally about four inches shorter than standard so the rifle stays manageable in length and balance once a suppressor is mounted.
It will, and that is the point of it. The 1:7 twist is faster than the 1:8 found on many Creedmoor barrels, so it comfortably stabilizes the long, high-BC bullets in the 140 to 156 grain range that this cartridge is known for. Lighter bullets shoot fine through it too.
