Browning clearly designed this Maxus II for real hunting conditions. Rubber overmolded grip panels on the stock and forearm keep your hands planted when everything is soaked, and the nickel Teflon coating on the bolt, bolt slide, carrier, and bolt release adds corrosion protection along with slick operation. The chamber and bore are chromed for durability, the bolt handle and release are oversized for gloved hands, and the ramped trigger guard makes loading quick when birds are working. Between the Inflex II recoil pad, SoftFlex cheek pad, and that gas system, heavy waterfowl loads feel a lot more civilized than they should.
Fit matters on a shotgun, and this one gives you options. The composite stock is shim adjustable for cast and drop, and it can be trimmed to shorten the length of pull for a truly personal fit.
