Every turkey hunter has lived it. The bird you called for an hour hangs up just past the decoys, or worse, pops up at fifteen steps while your gun is choked so tight the pattern is the size of a softball. The Cynergy Ultimate Turkey solves that problem the smart way, with two barrels. Screw the extended Ultimate Full Turkey choke in one and the Ultimate Spreader in the other, and the barrel selector lets you pick the right pattern for the shot in front of you in a split second. That kind of flexibility is something no pump or autoloader can offer.
Browning's MonoLock hinge gives the Cynergy one of the lowest profile receivers of any over-under out there, which helps the gun point naturally and keeps the sight line close to your hands. Up top you get a short Picatinny rail for the red dot of your choice, backed by a Marble Arms Bullseye rear sight and fiber-optic front bead that work great on their own if you'd rather skip the optic. The height-adjustable comb lets you dial your eye right in line with a red dot, and the long-travel Inflex recoil pad takes real sting out of 3.5 inch magnum turkey loads, even when you're sitting with your back against a tree with no room to roll with the recoil.
The 24 inch barrels wear full Mossy Oak Bottomland camo along with the stock and receiver, keeping you hidden from sharp-eyed toms. Chrome-plated chambers and Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones round out the barrel package, and with five Invector-Plus chokes in the box, including flush-fit Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder, this gun swaps over to duck blinds and pheasant fields without missing a beat. At 7 pounds 4 ounces with a 41 inch overall length, it carries well on long walks to the roost and swings quick in tight cover. It's a purpose-built turkey rig that pulls double duty the rest of the year.
The big advantage is instant pattern choice. With a tight turkey choke in one barrel and a spreader in the other, the barrel selector lets you match your pattern to the distance in a heartbeat. If a bird hangs up at 40 yards you take the tight barrel, and if he sneaks in close you flip to the open one instead of trying to thread a fist-sized pattern onto his head.
Yes, it comes with a short Picatinny rail on the receiver made for exactly that. The height-adjustable comb lets you raise your cheek weld so your eye lines up naturally with the dot. The Marble Arms Bullseye rear sight and fiber-optic front stay usable as a backup if you ever pull the optic off.
It does. The chambers are cut for 3.5 inch magnum loads and are chrome plated for durability and easy cleaning. The long-travel Inflex recoil pad does a nice job soaking up the heavy stuff, which matters when you're shooting from a seated position against a tree.
Not at all. It ships with five Invector-Plus chokes including flush-fit Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder tubes, so a quick choke swap sets it up for ducks, pheasants, and other upland or waterfowl work. The 24 inch barrels and full camo also make it a handy option in a deer blind where a fast-pointing gun earns its keep.
