The Lightning name comes from the rounded pistol grip and matching rounded forearm, a classic profile that puts your hand in the same spot every time you mount the gun. Browning dressed this one up properly with oil-finished Grade III/IV black walnut and cut checkering, and the wood on these tends to draw compliments at the clays course. An Inflex 2 recoil pad caps it off, directing the comb down and away from your face on recoil, which keeps a light gun surprisingly pleasant to shoot.

Light guns do transmit more felt recoil, but the Feather Lightning is a 20 gauge and the Inflex 2 pad does a nice job of pulling the comb away from your cheek during the shot.
