Description

Bond Arms took everything people like about their double barrel handguns and shrunk it down into something you can genuinely forget you're carrying. The Stinger .22 LR builds on a precision-machined aluminum frame with a black hard-coat anodized finish, topped with a 3-inch double matte stainless steel barrel. The result is a two-shot derringer that weighs around 14 ounces and measures just 5 inches long and under an inch wide. Slim black nylon grips keep the profile trim, and the matte barrel finish cuts down on glare while shrugging off moisture and sweat.

Simple by Design, Built Like a Bond

This is a single action derringer, so you cock the hammer for each shot and pull the trigger. That simplicity is the whole appeal. There's no slide to rack, no magazine to fuss with, and very little that can go wrong mechanically. Bond Arms backs that up with real safety engineering: a rebounding hammer that pulls away from the firing pins after each shot, retracting firing pins, a crossbolt safety, and an integrated trigger guard that plenty of smaller derringers skip. A spent shell extractor helps you clear empties quickly when it's time to reload the break-open barrels.

Why a Stinger in .22 LR Makes Sense

Chambering this platform in .22 LR turns it into a genuinely pleasant little gun. Recoil is mild even in a pistol this small, ammo is cheap and easy to find, and the crisp single action trigger makes it easier to shoot well than you'd expect from something that fits in your palm. It works as a trail gun, a tackle box companion, a deep concealment backup, or just a conversation starter at the range. New rimfire fans and longtime derringer collectors both tend to walk away grinning.

The Bond Arms Stinger Difference

Plenty of budget derringers cut corners on fit and materials. Bond Arms builds theirs in Texas with tight tolerances and stainless steel in the parts that matter, so the Stinger feels solid in hand despite its featherweight frame. It's a small gun done the right way.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you load and fire the Bond Arms Stinger .22 LR?

It's a break-open design, so you release the barrel assembly, drop a round into each of the two chambers, and close it up. The Stinger is single action only, meaning you cock the hammer before each shot. A spent shell extractor helps pull empties clear when you reload.

Is the Stinger .22 LR comfortable to shoot for a gun this small?

Yes, and that's a big part of why the .22 LR version is so popular. The round produces very light recoil, so even with the compact birds-head style grip, it stays controllable and fun. It's a great pick if you want derringer style without the punch of the bigger calibers.

What safety features does the Bond Arms Stinger have?

Quite a few for a derringer. It uses a rebounding hammer that moves away from the firing pins after firing, retracting firing pins, a manual crossbolt safety, and an integrated trigger guard. Together these make it one of the more thoughtfully engineered derringers on the market.

How does this Stinger differ from the Stinger RS?

This model uses a lightweight anodized aluminum frame, which keeps the weight down to roughly 14 ounces. The Stinger RS uses an all stainless steel frame with the Rough Series finish, which adds a couple ounces. Both share the same slim profile, 3-inch double barrel, and two-shot capacity.
