The Thunder Plus takes that same proven Walther-inspired design and adds the feature people asked for most, a double-stack magazine that bumps capacity to 15+1 rounds of .380 ACP. That is serious firepower for a pistol that measures 6.6 inches long and weighs about 20.5 ounces unloaded, thanks to the aluminum alloy frame paired with a steel slide.
The DA/SA trigger gives you a deliberate double-action first pull with lighter single-action follow-ups, and the decocker lets you safely lower the hammer on a loaded chamber. You also get a firing pin safety, an ambidextrous magazine catch, and an extended slide release, small touches that make daily handling easier. The dovetailed 3-dot sights are simple and effective, and the micro-polished bore with deep rifling helps this pistol punch tighter groups than its price tag suggests. This version wears a satin nickel Cerakote finish over the frame and slide, which does more than look good. Yes, Bersa makes factory 15-round magazines for the Thunder Plus and they are widely stocked online and at dealers. Note that standard 8-round Thunder 380 magazines will not work in the Plus since it uses a double-stack design. Picking up a spare or two is a smart move if you plan to carry it.
