Description

Every so often a manufacturer builds something just because it's cool, and the Battle Arms Development Tanker 300P is exactly that. Picture a modern .300 Blackout AR pistol dressed like it rolled out of a 1944 armory: grade A French walnut handguard and pistol grip, a UV-stabilized Kydex cheek rest with a wood-look finish, and an in-house parkerized green and Cosmoline-style finish blended to match the look of an M1 Garand or M1 Carbine. It turns heads at the range, no question, but there's real substance underneath the throwback styling.

What Makes the Tanker 300P Tick

The foundation is Battle Arms' billet 7075-T6 aluminum lightweight receiver set, machined and fitted the way you'd expect from a shop known for premium AR components. The 7.5-inch M4 profile barrel is chrome moly vanadium steel with a black nitride finish and a 1:8 twist, tucked inside a 6.7-inch WorkHorse M-LOK free float rail so you've got room for a light or hand stop without adding bulk. A Hiperfire RBT trigger comes standard, which is a genuinely nice upgrade over the mil-spec units most factory pistols ship with, and the ambidextrous safety lever works for lefties right out of the box.

A .300 Blackout Built for Tight Spaces

The VERT Gen2 PDW brace system collapses the whole package down to 21.32 inches and extends to just over 25, and at 5.2 pounds it handles like a much smaller gun. That pairs beautifully with the .300 Blackout chambering, since the cartridge was designed to burn efficiently in short barrels. Run supersonics for full-power performance or subsonics with a can for one of the quietest setups you can build on an AR platform. The flat top receiver ships without sights, so plan on adding your favorite red dot or offset irons.

Tanker 300P in the Box

Battle Arms includes a 20-round magazine, a fitted hard case, and accessories, so this one arrives ready to feed and easy to transport. If you appreciate walnut and parkerizing as much as billet aluminum and free float rails, this is a rare build that delivers both.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Tanker 300P come with sights or an optic?

No, it ships without sights. The flat top receiver has a full-length Picatinny rail, so mounting a red dot, LPVO, or backup irons is quick and easy. Given the short barrel and intended close-quarters role, a compact red dot is a natural fit.

Is the wood furniture on the Tanker 300P real walnut?

Yes, the handguard and pistol grip are cut from grade A French walnut, and the whole gun wears a custom parkerized green and Cosmoline-style finish modeled after WWII-era arms like the M1 Garand and M1 Carbine. The cheek rest is UV-stabilized Kydex with a wood-look finish, so it holds up to hard use while keeping the vintage vibe.

Will the Tanker 300P run subsonic .300 Blackout and suppressors?

.300 Blackout was built for short barrels, and the 7.5-inch nitride barrel handles both supersonic and subsonic loads well. Subsonics paired with a suppressor are where this cartridge really shines, giving you a very quiet package. The free float M-LOK rail leaves plenty of room for a can and accessories.

Does it take standard AR-15 magazines?

Yes. .300 Blackout uses the same bolt and magazine dimensions as 5.56 NATO, so standard AR-pattern mags feed it without issue. A 20-round magazine is included, and it accepts common 30-rounders as well. Just be careful to keep your .300 BLK ammo clearly separated from any 5.56 mags you own.
