ATI paired it with a hybrid polymer upper and lower, and their Nano composite lower parts kit keeps things running smoothly without piling on ounces. The receiver design uses an over-molded metal insert that reinforces the buffer tube housing and rear takedown pin, giving you metal-on-metal contact at the points that take the most abuse.
The 9 inch polymer M-LOK handguard gives you real estate for a light, sling mount, hand stop, or whatever else your setup calls for, and the flip-up sights fold flat if you decide to run a red dot or scope down the road. The 1:8 twist is one of the most versatile twist rates in the AR world. It stabilizes common 55 grain range ammo just fine while also handling heavier 62 to 77 grain loads well. If you like to switch between cheap plinking ammo and heavier match or defensive loads, this barrel covers both.
