Description

Big bore rifles are loud, and most cans built to tame them weigh enough to throw off the balance of a nice hunting rifle. The AnechoX 45 takes a different approach. At 6.6 inches long and just 9.1 ounces with the direct thread adapter installed, it hangs off the end of a .458 Win Mag or 45-70 without turning your rifle into a boat anchor. That same versatility carries over to medium power stuff like the .450 Bushmaster and handgun cartridges like .44 Mag, .454 Casull, and good old .45 ACP.

What Makes the AnechoX 45 Tick

Anechoic builds this can from Grade 5 STA 1000 titanium with 17-4 H900 stainless steel in the blast chamber and blast baffles, which is exactly where you want the tougher steel taking the abuse of muzzle pressure and heat. Inside, the X-Baffle Anechoic Chamber System uses an interrupted central tube to strip gas and noise, delivering up to 32 dB of sound reduction along with a real cut in felt recoil. The Cerakote C Series ceramic finish in Flat Dark Earth shrugs off heat and weather, so it looks right at home on a hunting rig that sees rain, dust, and truck beds.

Mounting and Living With the AnechoX 45

A 5/8×24 direct thread adapter comes installed, and the rear of the can uses the industry standard 1-3/8×24 mounting pattern. That opens the door to HUB mounts, pistons, boosters, tri-lugs, and quick detach systems, so one suppressor can move across your whole safe. It fully disassembles for cleaning, which matters if you plan on running dirty pistol ammo through it, and Anechoic backs it with a lifetime warranty. It also ships with a standard Flow-Cap plus a caliber specific Quiet Cap, letting you tune the front end to the gun you are running that day. For a compact can that covers this much ground, the AnechoX 45 is tough to argue with.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers can I run through the AnechoX 45?

It handles bullet diameters up to .458 inches, which covers .45 ACP, .44 Mag, .454 Casull, .450 Bushmaster, 45-70, and rifle magnums up to .458 Win Mag. Keep in mind rifle ratings assume standard barrel lengths, and hotter cartridges or shorter barrels call for slower shot strings. It is full auto rated to 100 rounds of .45 ACP.

Will the AnechoX 45 work on a .45 ACP pistol with a tilting barrel?

Yes, but you will want a piston or booster instead of the direct thread adapter. The rear of the can uses the industry standard 1-3/8×24 mounting pattern, so it accepts common Nielsen devices, pistons, boosters, tri-lugs, and QD mounts. The included 5/8×24 direct thread adapter is best suited for fixed barrel guns and rifles.

Can I take the AnechoX 45 apart to clean it?

You can. It is fully user serviceable and disassembles for cleaning, which is a big plus if you shoot a lot of dirty .45 ACP through it. That serviceability, combined with the titanium and stainless construction, is a big part of why Anechoic backs it with a lifetime warranty.

Why does my new titanium suppressor spark when I shoot it?

That is normal for titanium cans. During the first 100 rounds or so, tiny bits of titanium raised during machining burn off and can show up as sparks downrange. It tapers off as the can breaks in and is nothing to worry about.
